The ethnic festival season begins on Milwaukee's lake front this weekend with Polish Fest. It unfortunately, always seems as though rain is as traditional as the celebration of the festival for that weekend. This is the first of many ethnic festivals that fill the lakefront in Milwaukee throughout the summer and a prelude to Summerfest...the celebration that attracts almost a million visitors every year.
This lakefront festival will be celebrated Friday, June 22nd Noon -Midnight
Saturday Noon- Midnight and Sunday Noon- 10 p.m.
In the true spirit of Milwaukee, if you bring three or more items to donate to the Hunger task force on Saturday from 8 p.m. to Midnight...admission is FREE ! You will have the opportunity to repeat this "Festival Freebie" for admission on June 26th at Summerfest from noon to 3 p.m. with your donation of three or more items...check out their website and the good works they have been doing for 30 years in the greater Milwaukee area and learn how you can participate in "giving back" to the community.
Where else can you find Polka Music Non-Stop ? Besides rock 'n roll...an assortment of other entertainment including magic shows, theatre...and bring your appetite....for mushroom soup, pierogi and a host/hostess of other traditional polish favorites including sausage grilled to perfection.

This afternoon in St Petersburg there is a Brazilian fest - music, dancing, food and fun. Recently St Pete has its annual International Folk Festival (SPIFFS) with culture and food from many different countries. These are always fun.
