Relocate to Wisconsin : Brokerages DON'T Matter....PEOPLE D0....Here's a Way to Help Texas

Brokerages DON'T Matter....PEOPLE D0....Here's a Way to Help Texas

People sometimes get hung up on "labels".....brokerage names....a culture they perceive but don't really know....an agent that they don't like...a manager that doesn't BIG BOXmanage...my unfavorite "label"...BIG BOX....oh

please....one of the beauties of this industry is that you can choose the kind of work atmosphere, education, compensation, location that works for you....forget if it is "just your boutique" or you part of a larger brokerage....because this blog is about being HUMAN...not being this agent, that broker...or lender ...or insurance...or stager...inspector or whatever other allied profession of which you are a member.
The people in Texas need our help.....and many of us are cautious about BIG charitable organizations that take too much of every dollar for their overhead....we are very cognizant of that as well...one in particular that would surprise you...that owns houses in our subdivision to house their employees...oh golly....you won't see me ringing bells  !

Back to the POINT OF THIS POST....Keller Williams has a

KWCares Hurricane Harvey disaster relief program.  It is springing into action as I write this and ALL of the money goes to help ALL Texans so desperately in need of assistance.

HurricaneHow can YOU help ? If you can donate your time...that is a tremendous gift but conditions may prohibit that for a while....or maybe that is not possible for you to do....but what IS possible...is whether it is your time or a monetary donation....go to: www.KWRelief.org   and follow your heart... thank you for your support, generosity and prayers. Please see TODAY's POST and DOUBLE the impact of your donation:  http://activerain.com/blogsview/5104961/make-your-donation-to-texas-double--

We are a worldwide community....charity begins at home (another Momism - who volunteered at a soup kitchen and donated food).....Whatever you can give...please do.....and know it is going to help the people who need it most ....and very directly.

This is a very very PUBLIC service message  we invite you to re-blog...to take anywhere and everywhere on the net...to put on your Facebook page....and do whatever you can for Humankind....Thank You from the bottom of our hearts....Sally K. & David L. Hanson, Broker Associates, Southeastern Wisconsin.

Thanks for the encouragement Sally K and David.  I lived in northeast Florida when Floyd came through; the picture you have on your post is of Hurricane Floyd when it was approaching the southeast coast of the U. S.

I read a post this AM about how a person is trying to rebuild an office that was decimated in Rockport.  Having your data backed up to the cloud is one thing, but what about losing all your pending transactions, cancelling all your buyer appointments, what happens to all your listings, etc.?  How would I rebuild my business if this happened to me while I am concerned about about rebuilding my home first?

It's such a sad situation there. Have friends there that had to evacuate due to the rising flood waters but they are safe now. Still waiting to hear from others I know there. My church is going to have a fund raising drive to help also. They will need lots of help, support and money.

All brokerages, esp the national ones should step up and start helping out by collecting monetary donations. My brokerage Better Homes and Gardens is doing that by matching what agents donate!
