Relocate to Wisconsin : What's A Quadro ? If you don't know; Don't Tangle with Divorce

What's A Quadro ? If you don't know; Don't Tangle with Divorce

Whenever we write a post about Divorce...we get questions and students for our DREAM (Divorce Real Estate

Mentoring) course.

ListenAgents who "assume" that all that's required to be successful in this niche is to "be a good listener."  To us, this is akin to Newbies in real estate who know they will be top producers because "they like people." Yikes !

We take some of the same courses as Lawyers take for their continuing legal education credits.  It helps us to better understand and work with people during a difficult time in their lives.   One of the basic agreements in ANY divorce....this is not native to Wisconsin, is a QUADRO, (pronounced  Quad Row) it is a qualified domestic relations order.  That's the legal definition   as it relates to a retirement or pension plan and the evaluation of joint marital ownership in these plans.

From our  view, a CDFA (Certified Divorce Financial Analyst) is the best person to review this don't see  general practioner for surgery...anFinancial Surgeryd this IS financial surgery...and best done by the people who do this every day and have chosen to make it their specialty.

This financial division of pensions can become more complex with multiple marriages by one or both spouses.  There are professions, by their very nature, who have a higher than "average" rate of divorce with Police and Firefighters being among them. Multiple marriages are not unusual in these professions and can become more complicated in this aspect.

Lawyers in Wisconsin have opportunties to "Learn and Earn" six CLE (Continuing legal education) credits at workshops being held around the state in Milwaukee -Sept 7th, Stevens Point -Sept. 12th, Green Bay -Sept.20th, Racine, Sept. 27th and Madison Oct. 11th.  For further information and registration for these events, Wisconsin lawyers may click here.  These workshops are brought to you by DFS,

Divorce Financial Solutions Divorce Financial Solutions  a company that has worked with financial issues in divorce for many years.

If you or anyone you know is thinking about Divorce or is in the process of divorce, there are many, many things to consider...we always recommend going to the highest and best source for every aspect that will impact the rest of the lives of both spouses and their children. Dream Course in Real Estate

Good morning, Sally K. & David L. Hanson this is a specialty that most real estate agents are totally oblivious about.... your term "financial surgery" is right on target....easy enough to understand the meaning....

Sally K. & David L. Hanson None of this would be necessary if folks after spending decades together would just adopt the philosophy of Rodney King, "Can't we all just get along?"

I like the term "financial surgery". You two know all about this niche, and are the Realtors to work with in WI!

Handling the split down the middle or one side, the other of 50/50. QUADRO.. very familiar with those in our real estate hokey pokey. If over 50% chance of divorce and I read 72% for second marriages within the first two years with difficult blending of families, they happen in our profession to buyers and sellers we work with and help Sally K. & David L. Hanson !

Good morning, Sally and David -- more great insight into your niche.  Your posts on the subject continue to underscore how important it is to work with the right business partners when divorce enters the picture.

Well, I sure as heck didn't know what it meant before reading your post.  You really are experts!

Oh, this is so true - you don't see a general surgeon for brain surgery - and seeking the right counsel to help clear the muddy waters of divorce are imperative, Hansons both. A CDFA is the only way to go but, sadly, divorcing couples go the 'cheap' route or allow their individual attorneys to handle everything - including the critical finance part.

It's a shame too - in the end, it winds up costing them more, I think!

Hope you have a fantastic week ahead!

Sally and David- well I did not know what the word meant but do now. It is so important to build a team of professionals and that most definitely includes agents certified in this area as well as divorce financial analysts. I
