Relocate to Wisconsin : Closings are like Movies....They Usually Make Me Cry.....

Closings are like Movies....They Usually Make Me Cry.....

I admit it....I cry at weddings, on the way to the funeral Woman cryinghome...when someone wins on a game show, graduations, birthdays, saying hello, kissing good-bye....it's what I do and I am OK with that.  It's the human part of me....and I am not afraid to show it.

We were referred to a Seller by a Keller agent from Illinois....and the Seller lived in Illinois as well....they were high school chums.  The condo was in the small town of Salem, in Kenosha county just across the Illinois/ Wisconsin state line....we  had sold in that complex before and knew it to be well managed.

computer mouse    The condo and the eyes of the Buyer met across cyberspace, as we know most Buyers do. It was love at first click.  He was a veteran and wanted a place he and his canine companion could call home.  Once the Seller knew more about the Buyer, her heart melted and she went above and beyond to make this young Vet feel at home in his piece of the American Dream.

A flag, dog toys, chocolate...it doesn't get better for 2 footed or 4 footed new owners !

It was accompanied by a heartfelt not that we know the new buyer will appreciate and remember for a lifetime...it read in part:

"Welcome to your new home. May you find only the kind, wonderful friends in life.  Four legged and two legged friends to call Family and Family to call Friends."

If you  are looking to buy or sell a home in southeastern Wisconsin, call the Hansons, you just may end up calling us your friends in all things real estate.

What a wonderful story and a heartfelt message to the buyer. I bet there were some moist eyes upon seeing that message! And perhaps from the seller, too!

Good morning Sally.

Back in the day I was a cold hearted individual.  Once I retired from law enforcement, now I cry a the drop of a hat.

I also am a very sentimental type of person who sees the beauty in very emotional ways. It gets worse as I get older Sally K. & David L. Hanson

I am always happy for my buyer and seller clients at closings because I know I've helped them on to the next critical stage of their life. But I'll admit that I don't cry.

Good morning Sally and David.  This is the type of closing that would make me cry as well.  Great story, thanks.

Hi Sally and David --- what a great story!  Our business often extends to the personal side of life --- these types of connections are a part of that happily-ever-after aspect of life.

Sally not all closings are like this, hence it makes it even more special and it was good to get the dust cleared out of my eyes too, Endre

Sally, when a transaction comes to a close, and we no longer NEED to communicate on a regular basis, it is a sad day.   Congratulations, and a great story!
