Relocate to Wisconsin : Gratitude is Easy, Their Service Was Hard..Say Thank YOU !

Gratitude is Easy, Their Service Was Hard..Say Thank YOU !

You may have seen this before...I have blogged it before...and the tears still fall and my chin still quivers. More than many other weekends, we remember this weekend, the people who have given their lives, the families that have made the sacrifices that come with having someothank you 1ne in the service of our country. It takes a few seconds to make eye contact...and mine are often blurred with thankful tears as I sweep my hand outward from my heart and

catch the eye of the marine, army soldier, navy seaman in the airport...shopping center...wherever they hand from heartmay be...it is because of where they have been.

Say it to every service person you know...a sweep of your hand from heart to them....a gesture they will appreciate...easy for you to do...for everything they have done for you ....for all of us , every day.

This is the link to the video ...click here if it doesn't bring a lump to your throat and a tear to your eye...sowelcome daddymething is amiss.

Don't let it be the "thank you" you wished you had said...let it be the one you are glad you gave.

   Amen and Women.

Today, every day and especially Memorial Day we should be thankful and give thanks to the men and women who have served our great country and sacrificed for our freedom. Thank you for the reminder of how important it is to show our gratitude to each and every one of them.

And CONGRATULATIONS on hitting the 2M points!

Sally K. & David L. Hanson First of all, Congratulations for going over 2 million! ! My son served with the Marine Security Guard in Bahrian prior to 9/11. He was there when the USS Cole was bombed.  My husband maintains a website and has a whole section to commemorate our veterans and military. Go to Heroes.

When your children serve our country, you are always on edge and wondering if they are safe. I can't even imagine the horror of getting news that your loved one is not coming home alive.  My son now serves with Dept of Veteran Affairs and lives Memorial Day every day of the year. My personal reflections

It used to be an honor to serve in the military service. Since Vietnam War it became a poorman choice to find opportunities. With all volunteer army I am not sure the super rich and affluent are part of it.....
