"You Didn't Send me Any Listings..." complained the Buyer

     Once again...Thinventory raises it's ugly head (If I were more...or at all...graphically talented...I would have a cartoon drawn ..in some sort of monster like demeanor.)  

   We got a call from a Buyer who asked that rather than register with our search tool that you will find by clicking here, that we send and call when we see a property that fits the criteria that she has given for her home.  We home searchwould be lisitng theirs as well..yaaah....two transactions for the "price" of a phone call...BUT....we had not, could not make the call because there were no homes that fit her needs. She was not being overly picky....and had expanded her geographic reach a bit...it IS the market ! 

    We promise that as soon as a house OR condo for some buyers...hits the market that meets a buyer's criteria...or even comes close...we are on the phone and email faster than you can say, "New Address!"

     email Sooooo....we learned something....say something when there is nothing to say...That is ...take the time to email or call and say that we have been searching and researching the market and at this point in time...nothing meets their criteria and we will let them know the moment it does.

   Communication is a wonderful thing....we need to practice it more often !   Soooo now we have a regular cycle of communication to keep in touch with people who are on the "lookout" for  a new home and hope that soon Thinventory will lift and the selection will improve for buyers throughout southeastern Wisconsin.

Good morning Sally K. & David L. Hanson we were in that situation with very low iventory not soo long ago....and now listings are plentiful enough to keep our pending transactions flowing nicely....consistently....

Communication is the key even if its to tell them there is nothing new..they can understand that and still be frustrated but not frustrated with you for no communication or update!

We are in the same situation as you are. No listings to send, but we are trying to keep the line of communication open because another phone call to another Realtor can happen in a blink!

Hi Sally and David... I keep hearing this as well. Constantly reminding buyers that I'd warned them when we started the process that inventory is tight and that their won't be a any floodgates of listings coming their way.

Sally K. & David L. Hanson - This is one of the biggest frustrations.  You have a client who is ready to go but no property that fits their profile. Communication is so important at that point.

Sally and David we have plenty of inventory here in CT, and are hoping to move more towards a Sellers Market, but not to the extreme you guys are in.  In other words a nice balanced market :)
