Relocate to Wisconsin : "Let your conscience be your guide," Mama said.

"Let your conscience be your guide," Mama said.

Sage advice,....and sounds simple enough....just "do the right thing."  Unfortunately...the "right thing" is not always the same thing....what one person views as rigconscience compassht, another does not.

We see it in the  divorce part of our practice....He/She left and took all the....The heir that took control of disposing of personal property or money ...The Seller who "forgot to disclose the basement flood...The Buyer who thought the lender wouldn't find out about the garnishment...the bankruptcy...

Sooner or later reality, truth, justice..."conscience" catches up with people...often accompanied by a great deal of stress...and in many cases...huge unnecessary legal expenses...that had the truth been told, would never have been incutensrred...and everyone in whatever scenario could move on with their lives.  That is what some people would call the "perfect world" scenario. Would that we could all live in that place.

If you see someone waivering in a decision...offer my Mother's sage advice..."Let your conscience be your guide."  Take responsibility that belongs to you...Do unto others...NOT before or because they "do it to you" but because it is the moral, ethical, honest thing to do.

We represent Sellers and Buyers honestly in every real estate transaction in southeastern Wisconsin....and we would truly be honored to be of service to you.

Good Friday morning Sally.  I do have to agree with you in that what one person thinks is right the other doesn't. People are really strange

Great words to live by, Sally and David.  Dishonesty will most likely come back and bite you in the butt in the real estate world.

Good morning Sally K. & David L. Hanson,

Excellent advice. Our Broker uses this phrase and explains whenever you  need to ask yourself what to do in a particular scenario if you ask yourself "what is the right thing to do?" you will have your answer!

The "right thing" isn't the same for every person and all Mama's are NOT created equal......therein lies the rub.

True, the "right thing" isn't the same for everyone.  We tell our clients "you will always get the truth from us"...

Though the "right thing" may be in the eye of the beholder, truth is truth.  I try to be honest and ethical and it is appreciated by clients and my peers.

Do to others as you would have them do to you. Some people don't have consciences Sally K. & David L. Hanson

Sally K. & David L. Hanson This is one of the largest problems in our current society today. The public that we deal with daily, does not seem to have any conscience. I always remind folks to mentally take a walk in the other guy's shoes for a moment. That can shock them into the truth. Great post!

Oh what a tangled web we weave...Sooner or later someone will be found out and their attempt at deception will be exposed and it usually ends up hurting more than just themselves.

Good morning Sally. I would always trust your judgment to do what is right, doing the other stuff in the long run, never works out.

Make it a great weekend!

Conscience or gut, it is a powerful guide. It is also a tricky business dealing with divorce.
