Tears come easily today...the number 9 - eleven will never have the same meaning as they have since this day nine years ago.
Everyone knows, where they were...how they felt...the disbelief...the hurt, anger and frustration...so many emotions churning all at once with no outlet...the tears fall.
Let's make today special for someone who has in some way sacrificed for our greater good. If you know the family of person in service...thank them...with a flower...a phone call, a visit...
If you don't know someone in the service of the country we hold personally or their family... make today special for someone in your life that has given to you...a parent, a sibling...a child, a spouse.
Take a few minutes to reflect on the good fortune you have to live in this country and experience the freedoms we all too often take for granted.
Honor the memory of the many who gave the ultimate sacrifice and the loved ones who had their lives forever changed nine years ago.
Make the memory count today more than ever.
What will you do today to honor this day and the people who contributed...by choice and by chance to forever change our history ?

Thanks for those who serve nothing else to say
Yes, we shall remember. . . .
Make the memory count today by doing something special...nothing was more special than what was done for all of us.
There's a great tribute to the victims of 9/11...it's called Project 2,996 and is dedicated the memory of every person lost and every family affected. WE REMEMBER!
Most importantly - don't forget!
Can you imagine Roosevelt suggesting a "day of service" to honor Pearl Harbor and the beginning of WWII?
I can and do imagine and hope that everyone everywhere will do more than remember....let your actions speak louder than your words...
Excellent post............all of those who lost their lives on that tragic day and their families will be in my thoughts and prayers today. Thank you for a wonderful tribute to all of them.
Sally and David, I really do not plan to do anything special today. Just of note, I have flown a flag in the front of my every day since 911. I am on my 4th flag...
Sally and David.....this is a very sad day for everyone.....God Bless America and all of our service men and women fighting to protect us....
Sally and David - Well said. We all can take a moment and be very thankful and remember those for lost their lives and pray for those families who lost their loved ones. What a tragic day in our history.
Sharing positive thoughts...and wishing peace to those who suffered personal losses as we as a country suffered to a great degree...doing something positive...is the best memorial for all we remember today.
WOnderful post Hansons! I agree....often times we get caught up in meaningless, pointless things, and we need to come back to earth and realize we all have it pretty darn good thanks to folks who serve this country!
Thanks Kristin...we are so lucky and so need to remember.
