These are desperate times for many people and we have heard two reports recently of gang related activity that has resulted in serious injuries, near death, robbery, etc. and wanted to report to anyone and everyone what these situations look like...identify them and report them if you see them in your area.
Several things to be aware of .. gangs and robbers are now plotting different ways to get a person to "stop" their vehicle. 
There is a gang initiation reported by the local police department that gangs are placing a car seat by the road...with a fake baby in it...waiting for a woman, of course, to stop and check on the baby. Note that the location of this car seat will usually be beside a wooded or grassy (field) area ...and the person - woman - will be dragged into the woods- beaten and raped- usually left for dead. DO NOT STOP . DIAL 9-1-1 AND INFORM THEM.....
IF YOU ARE DRIVING AT NIGHT AND EGGS ARE THROWN AT YOUR WINDSHIELD. DO NOT OPERATE THE WIPER AND DO NOT SPRAY ANY WATER BECAUSE EGGS MIXED WITH WATER BECOME MILKY AND BLOCK YOUR VISION UP TO 92.5% YOU ARE THEN FORCED TO STOP BESIDE THE ROAD AND BECOME A VICTIM OF ROBBERS. THIS IS A NEW TECHNIQUE USED BY GANGS. PLEASE INFORM YOUR FRIENDS AND RELATIVES. THESE ARE DESPARATE TIMES AND THESE UNSA VO RY INDIVIDUALS WILL TAKE DESPARATE MEASURES TO GET WHAT THEY WANT.

This is pretty sick stuff, I hate to think that we'll become so paranoid as to change the way we live, the freedom we're used to. Not very pleasant thoughts.

I did a little research and am a bit skeptical. I wasn't sweeing any press releases on it and checking the urban legend sites shows a long list of similar scenarios. That being said it is still a god idea to play it safe and call 911 in an incident along the road and not stop. If for any other reason than you don't have lights to warn other cars to move over.
Sounds like a load of horse shit to me.
