I am sure some people who read our blog think all we do is cook....and we do like being "Kitchen creative" and find it to be stress relief and so much prefer homade creations to fast food and most restaurant food...
An idea that we want to share that we may have shared before....is Soup-er.....this year when you are making your grocery list include extra broth and/or cream.
When you find you have odds and ends of all the vegetables you have prepared....put them in the food processor or blender....add broth and/or cream...season if you wish with dill...chives...peppers...add more squash or whatever you wish to give it the consistency you like.....simmer a while...taste...add seasoning to taste, barley or beans or whatever suits your taste....ladle into serving size freezer bags....place on a cookie sheet an you have blocks of Thanksgiving soup....something to be thankful for until the last sllllllllllllurp is gone. We deliver some to our sphere...what a way to say thanks for being able to be of service to them..Enjoy,,,an have a very happy holiday !

Looks and sounds good Sally and David....what time shall we arrive for dinner? ;)
~Happy Thanksgiving from Deb in Cape Coral, FL
Hi Slly and David,
Looks like you have got a winning combination..getting something good to eat and making clients feel special!
Everyone is always welcome here....you would both find a place at our table anytime !
Sally and David,
I grew up in Brookfield, (on 166th Street and Nancy Lane) so I won't have a hard time finding your place :) . My mother use to make something like this when I was younger...But she had some name for it. Can't recall......Kind of a shepards pie without the crust.
Happy to prepare the guest room....and set a place at the table...if you get back this way anytime...know that you are always welcome !
Sally and David, the soup sure looks good and tasty. Great for the holidays on a cold Winter's day. Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving.
Hi Sally:
I love soup!
Yet another wonderful thing you do for your clients.
You and David are very special people.
Come on out and have some...there is always a bowl with your name on it !
That soup looks heavenly...I just made some the other day. You guys do sound very kitchen creative!!
Sally & David - That is heartening and happy. Thank you for the great idea!
The way to everyone's heart must be warming them from the inside...cooking is a passion as well as real estate....it's a good recipe to mix together !
Sally and David I love soup all year, and I make all sorts. It is truly a comfort food.
Who says that AR members can just write real estate books...why not cook books and donate profits to the houses that AR builds ?
I cook all year, so when holiday weeks come around, I'm usually at the various buffets. LOL
Soups are just our favorite thing...especially in this climate...snow in the forecast for the holiday...brrrrr
One of my favorite things to cook is soup and you are so right...you can use any thing you happen to have at the time. It's always fun to try new combinations!
It can be a creativity test..and sometimes here when the weather gets especially "challenging" a pantry/freezer special recipe is in order.
