September 11th is a day that changed history forever...the lives of many of our fellow Americans, the history books for generations to come. The tears still fall easily rememembering those who in the name of their career in public service, gave their lives. The unknowing passengers believing they were on a flight returning to their loved ones, leaving cell phone messages with what would be their last breaths.
Gather strength from experience, gather courage by example, take time to remember all who showed us that and more....on this the 8th anniversary of the now infamous, 911.
Take the time...close your eyes....let tears fall...remember those individuals the ones who gave their lives...the family, friends and coworkers lives who experienced the loss of loved ones, co-workers, neighbors...and all of us...a loss we will never forget and a sacrifice we should always remember. Do something special today, make it count, do it memory...do it because you can. What will you do today to honor those who honored us with the ultimate sacrifice...make it count.

S & D...
I will never forget that horrible day, and how it changed America forever. Thanks for keeping the memory alive.
Thank you Richard...it is a day and time like other events in history...Presidential assassinations...we all know exactly where we were....and the memories still sting the eyes, heavy the hearts...as well they should.
Thanks for putting my feelings in words. We will all remember that day when life in the U.S. as we knew it changed forever!
Forever is a long tie Barbara...let us all hope that the memory of the courage it took...the sacrifices made never leaves any of us.
Sally and David, I love your comment/idea about doing something today to make it count...well said.
Imagine if each member did just one thing to pay it forward in memory of those who paid with their lives...what a beautiful rememberance.
I still can barely watch news about this. Americans have to remember that we are Americans together.
I know how you feel Wendy...I am not ashamed of the tears watching the memorial services brought...I would be more ashamed if I did not cry.
It's forever inscribed in my memory. Jim and I spent the week preceding 9/11 touring San Francisco, San Jose, and Monterey. We were scheduled to fly out of San Francisco back to San Diego on Tuesday, 9/11, at 10:00 a.m. Since we finished our touring itinerary early, we got a flight out of San Jose on Monday, 9/10, and 11:30 p.m. If we had not been able to do that, we would have been driving from San Francisco to San Diego because by 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, 9/11, all flights in North America had been grounded. We got home at 2:00 in the morning on 9/11 and woke up hours later to find the world seemingly collapsing around us.
It is like JFK's assassination....everyone knows regardless of age...place...the time the world stood still.
